Printing brokering may be a term not everyone is familiar with. A print broker is someone that resells the printing services of different printers. Some print brokers hide this fact from the end customer, allowing them to believe that the broker is doing all the printing. Almost every printer on the market does some level of brokering. Everyone cannot offer all the services, they can't afford too.

With completion of our new facility, we have been able to bring much of our printing in-house, but there are still some items that we will broker out to other printers. We have a group of regional printers that we take your print design to and get estimates. Now you might be wondering, wouldn't it be cheaper for me to go directly to the printer?

Often time no, since we work with these printers regularly, we have established a broker discount with them. That allows us to mark the price up a little and still match their normal price. Plus we often gain a discount because we can work with the printer and supply the print design in the format they need, thus saving them time and money.

This doesn't mean that if we design your print piece that you have to use Avalon to print it. We will gladly work with your printer to get the item done. Who knows, we might end up finding a new printer to broker for too.
